Who we are
Reality Record is provided by Third Option Group Ltd, trading as Gaslighting.co.uk, a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree to them, please don't use the service.
What Reality Record is — and isn't
Reality Record is a private tool for documenting incidents, evidence, and patterns. It is not legal, medical, therapeutic, or crisis advice, and using it does not create any kind of professional relationship between you and us. See the safety notice below and throughout the app for more on this.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for anything that happens under your account. One account is for one person — accounts aren't meant to be shared.
Free and Premium plans
The free plan holds your first 10 entries at no cost, no card required. Reality Record Premium removes that cap and adds pattern analysis and PDF export, billed at £7.99/month or £59.99/year. Prices are shown in GBP and may change for future billing periods — we'll give you notice before any change affects you.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
Premium is billed in advance by Stripe, our payment processor, and renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the Account page ("Manage or cancel subscription") — there's no need to contact us. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and aren't charged again after that.
Refunds and your right to cancel
As a UK consumer, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a new online purchase for a full refund. Because Premium gives you instant access to paid features as soon as you upgrade, by upgrading you ask us to begin the service straight away and agree that you lose this 14-day right once you've started using Premium features. If you upgrade and haven't used any Premium feature yet, contact us within 14 days at hello@gaslighting.co.uk for a full refund. Outside of that, we don't offer partial refunds for the unused part of a billing period — cancelling simply stops the next renewal.
Acceptable use
Use Reality Record only for lawful purposes and only to document your own experiences. Don't use it to harass or impersonate someone else, try to access another user's data, or attempt to disrupt or scrape the service. We may suspend or close accounts that break this.
Your content
Everything you log, upload, or write in Reality Record is yours. We don't claim ownership of it, and we don't use it to train models, for marketing, or for any purpose beyond providing the service to you. You can export or permanently delete it at any time — see our Privacy policy for how it's stored and who can access it.
Service availability
We aim to keep Reality Record available and reliable but can't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may need to pause the service occasionally for maintenance or updates. We'll try to give notice of anything that affects your access where we reasonably can.
Ending your account
You can delete your account and all your data at any time from the Account page — this is immediate and can't be undone. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will give notice where practical before doing so.
Liability
We provide Reality Record as a documentation tool, not as advice, and we're not liable for decisions you make based on it or for outcomes of legal, workplace, or personal processes you use it to support. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow us to — for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example if the service changes. If a change is material, we'll let you know by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Reality Record after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
